PAPL Skybridge
PAPL Skybridge
The Western Australian Government’s initiative to build a Rail Connection to the Perth Airport from a spur line south of Bayswater Rail Station is currently under construction. The Skybridge is an elevated walkway connecting Perth Airport’s T1 and T2 Terminals with the Airport Central Rail Station. The Sky Bridge is 270m with three Nodes at Airport Central Station, T2, Plaza and T1.
The initial Design undertaken by others was more than double the available Budget. PAPL approached Georgiou Group to participate in an ECI contract. MPS Architects were recommended by Georgiou Group (GG) and BGE to participate in the project providing a pragmatic approach to the Architecture of the Sky Bridge. Georgiou Group were subsequently awarded a Design and Construct Contract that included MPS.
