Technical support to PTA to fulfil PTA Project Engineer role in accordance with 8110-100-013 – Procedure for Engineering Management for Projects for the new Edgewater Multi-level and Structures project deliverables to confirm compliance with Building Codes/Standards, SWTC, PTA operations, maintenance and policy requirements.

MPS role can be split into Design Phase and Construction Phase.

Design Phase: Provide Design Review Recommendations by Lead Design Architects highly experienced in PTA requirements and Building Design and Construction.

Assess progressively contractor’s design & document submissions to ensure conformance to the requirements of the BCA, relevant Australian Standards, Local Authority as well as capturing the PTA’s technical & design brief and provide recommendations. Engaged a range of specialist sub-consultants from Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Electrical, Communication, Hydraulics, Fire, Traffic and Lift Engineering disciplines to support MPS Architects in their role.

Construction Phase: To provide Engineering Services Support & Assurance to PTA by experienced professionals. During the construction phase, provided Architectural and Engineering Support services, assessing shop drawings,

inspecting critical works for the various disciplines as well as inspecting completed works to ensure conformance to Design Requirements and Performance Brief on an as required basis.

Submitted post inspection reports with findings, recommendations and suitable images. Brett Priest was appointed PTA

Project Engineer for a Design and Construct Contract supported by Vitas Silvestri. MPS provided ongoing guidance and support to the Design Manager advising PTA Project Delivery, interpretation of PTA requirements and Standards to be applied to pass onto the Design team inexperienced in the requirements of the PTA. Coordinated reviews from Engineering PE’s. Attended Review and Risk sessions with Georgiou Group representing the PTA.
