At $35M Project B305 was the largest of the packages undertaken by MPS in addition to B303 and B304 with Curtin Property. An extremely complex refurbishment of a 3-storey building at Curtin University, formerly the Chemistry building, into a new Biomedical and Biomolecular Research Building.

Curtin Engaged MPS who scoped the Project and obtained competitive fees for Engineering services for the detailed Design Documentation, Tender Preparation and Contract Administration Support during construction.

The fit-out of the building included research laboratories with associated offices, workstations, write up areas and store areas. Facilities included PC Laboratories, TC Laboratories, a Chemical Lab and several minor laboratories including Histology, Molecular Prep, PCR Prep, Cytotoxic Lab and an Isotope Suite. There were also associated ancillary facilities including freezer rooms, wash up rooms, cold & hot rooms.

Levels 0 and 1 house University Departments including the School of Biomedical Sciences and the School of Pharmacy. Also located on these levels are a number of staff offices, meeting rooms, administration spaces, pharmacy consultation rooms, chemical storage areas, student workstations, student common areas and pharmacy professional practice spaces
